Our papers
One of the benefits of giclée printing is that a large range of papers
is available. We keep a range in stock, and we can specially order
papers if you want something we don't already have.
As you might expect, we have our favourites: these are papers that
perform particularly well. We also have some special-purpose papers,
like the Tyvek and the glossy canvas.
Matte papers
Epson Fine Art Cotton Smooth Natural (24″) 300gsm. 609mm wide.
Sourced from a renowned paper mill, this refined cotton fine art paper is created using high-quality raw materials, selected to produce a paper with excellent archival properties, resulting in prints that will be enjoyed for many years. The natural white of this paper, which does not contain optical brightening agent (OBA-free), is especially suitable for museum standard conservation. * * * * *
Epson Hot Press Natural (Sheet) 330gsm. A2 sheets.
The same texture as Hot Press Natural but even heavier. Using this
sheet paper is a little more expensive but results in a flatter
print. * * * * *
Somerset Enhanced Velvet 225gsm. 610mm wide.
This doesn’t have the colour gamut or the black density of the Hot
Press Natural, but it has a great feel and a heavy textured surface
that gives it a kind of “watercolour” look. * * *
Innova Soft White Cotton IFA-15 280gsm. 609mm wide.
25% cotton linters, 75% α-cellulose. A budget paper with decent performance. Doesn’t match the colour gamut of Hot Press Natural. * * *
Xativa Tyvek Banner 105gsm. 610mm wide.
A water-resistant, bright white plastic. Ideal for signs and
banners. Extremely strong and almost impossible to tear. It can be
stitched and riveted. * * *
Enhanced Matte 192gsm. 609mm wide.
